Terra Firma is pleased to announce that it has been named ‘Firm of the Year in Germany’ by Private Equity International, while Tank & Rast has been voted ‘Global Infrastructure Deal of the Year’ by Infrastructure Investor.
In its 16th year, the Private Equity International Awards recognise those firms in the industry that have performed outstandingly over the year. Based on exits, deals and capital raised, PEI’s editorial team compiled a shortlist of four firms, which they thought stood out in each category. After a rigorous voting process, Terra Firma was named ‘Firm of the Year in Germany’ by PEI’s global readership.
The Infrastructure Investor Awards, now in their seventh year, identify the most innovative firms in the infrastructure asset class. Terra Firma and Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management have been announced as joint winners of the ‘Global Infrastructure Deal of the Year’ award following the successful sale of Tank & Rast last year. The deal was shortlisted by Infrastructure Investor’s editorial team and was selected as winner by its subscribers.
Commenting on Terra Firma’s success, Guy Hands, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Terra Firma, said: “I am delighted that Terra Firma and the sale of our remaining stake in Tank & Rast have been recognised by two prominent industry publications. By investing more than €500m under Terra Firma’s ownership in improving and modernising the network of 350 service stations, Tank & Rast significantly improved the quality of its sites and expanded its service offering for customers. As a result, we were able to generate outstanding returns for our investors.”
