Terra Firma is pleased to announce the appointment of Ingmar Wilhelm as Financial Managing Director. Ingmar will join Terra Firma’s dedicated renewable energy investment team at the beginning of January.
This announcement follows the appointment of Stefan Thiele as Operational Managing Director earlier this year, and further builds on the team’s industry-leading expertise and track record.
Over the past decade, Terra Firma’s renewable energy infrastructure team has led the growth of the asset class and completed 18 transactions with an aggregate enterprise value of nearly $3.2 billion (€2.5 billion). In doing so, it has built three utility-scale businesses that, at the end of 2012, had an aggregate installed capacity of 1.4 GW.
Ingmar joins Terra Firma from Enel Green Power, where he was Executive Vice President, Head of Business Development. He was directly responsible for a worldwide project pipeline of c. 30GW and a global team of 180 people, heading a key function which supported the company’s current business plan providing for c. €6 billion capex. Ingmar arrived at the Enel Group in 2003, where he was responsible for the origination and trading of power in Europe. From 2006 onwards, he managed the company’s growth strategy and client base on the free market for power and gas supply in Italy. Prior to his time at Enel, Ingmar worked with two large utilities based in Germany and in France.
