"Why Terra Firma? The diversity of the role, the involvement in all aspects of a transaction, and the requirement to be pro-active"
William Burnand
Director, Legal
William joined Terra Firma in 2000 from Slaughter and May where he had worked for 7 years as a Corporate Lawyer.
Since then, William has worked on a number of significant deals including the acquisitions of Odeon and UCI, the refinancing of Tank & Rast and both the AWAS and Pegasus acquisitions.
His favourite deal, however, was the first deal he worked on with Terra Firma – the acquisition of WRG. “As a public-to-private acquisition, WRG posed a number of challenges including working with the regulator, financing banks and a complex financing structure. Furthermore, as the first deal for Terra Firma after spinning off from Nomura, it was an exciting time to be part of the team.”
