Terra Firma and the 3 Peaks Challenge

Merlin is the only specialist UK charity responding worldwide with vital health care and medical relief for vulnerable people caught up in natural disasters, conflict and disease

Terra Firma has sponsored 2 teams in this year’s 3 Peaks Challenge. Each team will be attempting to scale the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, all within 24 hours.

The charity we are supporting is Merlin, the only specialist UK charity responding worldwide with vital health care and medical relief for vulnerable people caught up in natural disasters, conflict and disease. Merlin directly helped over 5 million people in 2006. Its vision is of a world that provides basic health care to all, responds immediately to save lives in times of crisis, and looks beyond emergencies to safeguard long-term health.

The teams will be made up of six people; a mixed team of four walkers and two support team members who will double as minibus drivers. The team members will include:

Jacqueline Jones, David Kassler, Michael Hedegaard, Nils Steinmeyer, Chris Roling, Debbie Atkinson, Michaela Harwood, Steve Webber, Stephen Seymour, Andrew Chadd, and Ian Tallis.
