Responsibility

Terra Firma is a responsible investor and operator

Private equity investments have an impact beyond the financial returns that can be generated for investors. We recognise we also need to consider the non-financial elements of our investments such as the human, social and environmental impacts.

This recognition is key to creating long-term value for our investors and creating sustainable businesses for employees and other stakeholders.

Terra Firma has always aimed to be a responsible investor. We have a strong track record of environmentally positive investments, a reputation for transparent communications and have long been a supporter of local charitable organisations.

We have developed a more structured and institutionalised responsible investing position. Our Sustainability Committee includes members from across Terra Firma and oversees our Responsible Investment Policy.

This policy sets out our guidelines in relation to the consideration of non-financial factors such as good governance, and the environmental and human impacts of our operations, how we consider these factors in making new investments and the management of our portfolio businesses.

We promote these principles within Terra Firma and within our portfolio businesses.
