Description
Pegasus is one of the world’s leading capital providers to airlines for new deliveries and fleet management solutions. It has a fleet of 82 owned aircraft, 94 managed aircraft, and a pipeline of aircraft on forward orders.
Strategy
AWAS, which was acquired by Terra Firma in March 2006, leases approximately 130 aircraft to 70 airlines across the world. It has been positioned to be Terra Firma’s growth platform in the sector and the combination of the two businesses has created the world’s third-largest aircraft lessor. The purchase of Pegasus significantly strengthens AWAS’s worldwide position by broadening its customer and supplier base and allowing the combined company to take advantage of significant benefits from increased scale as well as capitalising further on the attractive outlook for the sector.
