Prior to Terra Firma, Oliver worked for Ernst & Young Corporate Finance in Munich, where he gained a sound understanding of financials whilst working on the advisory side on small and mid-sized transactions.
One of the main reasons Oliver joined Terra Firma was because of its distinct vision and its creative approach to the sourcing and developing of opportunities. This has been reflected in the nature of the deals he has been involved in, ranging from property development to shipping to retail. He has also worked with the portfolio businesses on add-on acquisitions, divestments, and strategic projects.
At Terra Firma, he feels encouraged to ‘think outside the box’ and deal with unfamiliar situations, both of which furthers his experience and improves his skills. “I am motivated by the extreme volatility and complexity of my job; it is like being in the driving seat of a rollercoaster.
