Lorenzo has lived and worked in 4 different countries and loves the range of deals, variety of work and the fast paced environment that is Terra Firma. His career prior to joining Terra Firma was diverse and ranged from sales management and corporate development roles for companies such as IBM and Nortel Networks to strategy work for management consultants, Bain & Co.

His role at Terra Firma is also varied. In addition to the due diligence work he does on transactions, he is also involved in post-acquisition operational challenges which differ greatly from deal to deal. For example, his work on the cinema investment has involved driving acquisitions across Europe, whereas with the aircraft leasing business, his work has ranged from managing the integration of two acquired aircraft portfolios to helping negotiate the return of 14 aircraft from a bankrupt Brazilian airline.

One of his prerequisites for a successful deal is that there are opportunities available to ‘add value to the business and the growth strategy via acquisitions‘, a notion that became reality whilst working on the Odeon/UCI deal.
