Bill Miles
Investor Relations Managing Director, North America
Bill joined Terra Firma in 2002 as Terra Firma was beginning the fundraising for its first externally raised fund. Prior to joining Terra Firma, Bill was a Managing Director and the Co- Head of Fixed Income Sales and Trading at First Union Capital Markets (now Wells Fargo Bank). He was previously a Vice President in the Fixed Income Division at Goldman Sachs and worked at that company from 1982 until 1997. Bill has a BA in Political Science from Vanderbilt University. Upon graduation, he was commissioned and served in the US Navy; primarily in Southeast Asia. He retired as a Lt.Commander after 7 years on active duty and in the Reserves. Bill is married with 2 daughters. The Miles' family are avid boaters and spend much of their leisure time on the waters in South Florida and the Bahamas.
Manabu Kurata
Investor Relations Director, Asia
Prior to joining the group in 1999, Manabu was Executive Director at Nomura Project Finance International in Hong Kong. He began his career at Nomura Securities in Japan. Manabu has a BA in Law from Tokyo University. Manabu is married with 2 daughters and 2 dogs. His interests include golf, travel and enjoying ethnic food.
Paul Spillane
Co-Head Investor Relations, North America
Paul joined Terra Firma in 2010. He began his career at Goldman Sachs, where he spent 12 years, before moving to Deutsche Bank, for 8 years and then to Soleil Securities as CEO and President for the last 5 years. Paul graduated from Colby College and also earned an MBA from Columbia University, following a 3 year stint as a professional baseball player.
Kirsten English
Director, Investor Relations
Kirsten joined Terra Firma in 2010. Prior to this she was CEO of a Fund of Hedge Funds, Entrepreneur in Residence at Warburg Pincus, co founder of the telecommunications company Radianz (sold to BT in 2005) and held several positions in Reuters including working for over a decade in Nordic as CEO of a group subsidiary (Norwegian speaker). Kirsten graduated from Oxford University (MA) and Wharton (Executive Program/Business School). She lives with her family in London and enjoys ski-ing, tennis, squash, cycling and exploring new places.
