Infinis ranked first in Sunday Times 2012 buyout growth league

Infinis, a Terra Firma company and one of the UK’s leading renewable energy generators, was recognised yesterday by the Sunday Times as the fastest growing large buyout in the UK in its 2012 league. View at www.fasttrack.co.uk.

The league, which looked at companies with profits over £50 million, ranked businesses by the growth that they had achieved over their last two financial years.  In 2003 Infinis’s generation capacity was 57MW; now it is 556MW, making it one of Britain’s largest renewable operators.

Commenting on the announcement, Guy Hands Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Terra Firma said:

“It is very good to see Infinis leading the Sunday Times/Deloitte league table – particularly as it was the only renewable energy business in the league. Infinis is an important business for Terra Firma as it was our first in the renewable energy sector, where we have now been investing for nearly a decade.  Infinis is a global leader in the renewable sector and it is well positioned to grow further.”

“Terra Firma’s objective is to build businesses that offer sustainable growth.  This growth, in Infinis’s case, is also helping the UK address its domestic energy needs, growing employment and contributing to environmental sustainability.”
