AWAS Delivers Boeing 757-200 Freighter to Yakutia Airlines
AWAS adds new customer: major Russia-based airline expanding its dedicated cargo division
Dublin based aircraft lessor, AWAS, announced today that it has delivered a Boeing converted 757-200 aircraft to Yakutia Airlines. Yakutia plans to utilize this aircraft to expand its dedicated cargo fleet and capitalize on the increased strength of regional cargo volume.
“We are very pleased to receive this Boeing 757 freighter from AWAS,” said Ivan Prostit, CEO of Yakutia Airlines. “This highly capable freighter will allow us to widen our sphere in shipping cargo. It will be used to carry consumer goods both within Russian federation, to South-east Asia and Europe. AWAS delivered a solution that was highly flexible allowing us to quickly add efficient, dedicated cargo capacity.”
